RELAX

Your baby is going to suck the life out of you [literally if you plan on breast feeding] so make sure you take as much time as you possibly can rest, relax, and recharge. Running yourself ragged on your babymoon will only make you feel like you need a vacation after your vacation.

ENJOY MEALS AT NICE RESTAURANTS

I don’t want to sound negative but the reality for most parents is you don’t get to go out as much as you probably did BC [before children]. Newborn babies are pretty easy to take out to eat. Mine were lulled to sleep by the ambient noise of restaurants. But once your baby grows a bit there is a good chance they aren’t easy [ or much fun ] to have at restaurants for a while. This is why I recommend going out to a lot delicious restaurants while on your babymoon. Live it up!

HAVE MATERNITY PHOTOS TAKEN

I am a huge advocate for having family photos taken while you’re on vacation. You can read more about why I suggest that by clicking here. Scheduling a maternity session while on your babymoon means you get “better than iPhone” photo memories of you, your partner [if you have one] and your beautiful baby bump. You can buy a gorgeous dress, get your hair and make up done for your session and when your photo session is over you’re all glammed up and ready to go out to a nice dinner. [Because, remember- you should try to eat out as much as possible while you still can! ha ha]
