SUMMER ESSENTIALS FOR FAMILY BEACH DAYS
SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE…
…AND IM SHARING MY MUST-HAVE ITEMS TO HELP YOU ENJOY YOUR DAY AT THE BEACH WITH YOUR FAMILY.
LET ME KNOW IF YOU TRY ANY OF THESE AND WHAT YOU THINK!
GROWING UP IN SAN DIEGO, AND NOW RAISING MY OWN KIDS HERE, I AM A PRO WHEN IT COMES TO PACKING FOR A DAY AT THE BEACH.
WHEN WE HEAD TO THE BEACH WE PLAN TO STAY AS LONG AS POSSIBLE- SO I BRING ALLLL THE THINGS. THAT MAY NOT BE YOUR JAM- AND THATS OK TOO! WHETHER YOU’RE HEADED TO THE COAST FOR ONE HOUR, OR ALL DAY- I’M SURE THE THINGS ON THIS LIST CAN MAKE YOUR DAY MORE ENJOYABLE.
BRIGHT COLORED RASH GUARDS FOR KIDS
If you plan on being in the ocean this summer my #1 tip is buy a fluorescent colored rash guard for your kid. My kids are of the age where they play in the ocean without me and these make it SO much easier to spot which child is mine out in the waves. Even tho my boys are good swimmers I always have eyes on them when they are in the ocean.
When you’re packing for a day at the beach these thin, light weight towels really help lighten the load. They also dry quickly!

I like the Tommy Bahama backpack chair with pockets and can always find them at our local Costco for very reasonable price

WAGON TO CARRY ALL OF THE THINGS
This was a game changer when my kids were too small to help carry things. Now they are old enough to help carry but let’s be real- they rarely want to. I still shlep our wagon with us because it’s just nice to have it and know we are prepared with everything we might want/need for our beach day.
This is my favorite visor and I get asked about it every time I wear it.
DON’T FORGET
ALWAYS PACK A CHANGE OF CLOTHES FOR EVERYONE. WHEN THE BEACH FUN IS OVER AND IT’S TIME TO LEAVE, IT’S NICE TO HAVE A CHANGE OF CLOTHES SO YOU CAN BE DRY IN THE CAR AND HIT UP A DRIVE-THRU OR EAT-IN RESTAURANT ON THE WAY HOME FOR DINNER. ☺️
